2-0 Yesterday…

3* North Texas +2 1H
South Alabama is in a lookahead spot w/ an ESPN game on Saturday and a long winning streak at stake. It’s not all that easy to win at the Super Pit as teams have found out. Situational spot is pretty good for North Texas as well as they had a tough loss at home vs. New Orleans, didn’t really have any momentum on the roadtrip, had a few people with the flu, and instead of coming home and playing a cellar-dwellar you can get jacked to face a 9-0 conference team coming into your own place. Regardless of what’s happened here, I don’t think this game should be anything more than a PK, and North Texas can go off at any-time from deep. They’re something like 3-5 in conference, but w/ injuries and some health issues, they’ve been unable to finish ball games with their style of play. Three of their most recent losses they had a double digit lead at one point in the game. They’re almost back at full strength for this tilt, and I think they’re jacked from the get-go here. They got a title to defend.

3* Michigan +3.5
When you’re Minnesota, you had three opportunities recently to make some noise facing both Indiana and Michigan State at home, and going on the road to Ohio State. Now you play little ole measly Michigan, before going back home in the border battle with Wisconsin on Saturday. That was about all it took for me to take the Big-10 home pup. The conference is garbage, and Michigan actually matches up well here. Beilein catching points against a bad road squad at home. I’ll take my chances.

3* Wisconsin Green Bay +6
This is probably one of the easier road contests for Wisconsin Green Bay all year even though going into Wright State is no easy feat. At Ohio State, at Umass, at UIC, at Wisconsin, at Michigan State, at Butler, and at Valpo – those games prepare you for this. Yes, Wright State has revenge, they also have a revenge date on deck as well. These teams are clones of each other, and I’d give the edge to GB talent-wise. They match up extremely well. This is a pretty important game for seeding in the conference tournament and Wright State just hasn’t been able to hold a big lead if it gets to that point. I hate playing a team to sweep a season in-conference series, so I’m gonna pass on the ML and just take the points.

If Pee just loses in regulation the other night, I probably make a hefty play on this. Simply put, if Austin Peay is gonna win the conference like I had projected months ago, then they will come away with the victory tonight. All five starters saw at least 40 minutes of action the other night and probably would have logged more minutes if not fouling out. College kids can bounce back, but they are human. I think the revenge factor crosses out fatigue and Pee takes the conference title tonight, but not worth it. Value is definitely there only a –3 spot, but fatigue worries the piss outta me. I’m happy with 2-1. I also liked Providence + and Hawaii + as well. Don’t wanna push it…
