Default Question for Kidpoker

I have recently started to get into Poker, I've cleared the bonus at Party, Empire and I4poker (small one) as they were all very easy. Played at $.10/.25NL and ended up a little bit ahead not including the bonus. Looking to get into this a bit more as I'm someone with a lot of spare time on my hands and can play hours a day.

I've played a lot of the casinos but recently pulled my bankroll for other uses as I was getting murdered on a consitant basis and it was time for a break from Blackjack.

What books/info would you recommend to read for someone starting out in poker, do you stick to a specific strategy only for clearing bonuses, what rooms and bonuses are the easiest to play at for a low limit player like myself? I only play no limit and don't know how to play any of the other variations although am willing to take the time to learn.

I live in the UK so can play pretty much anywhere (really sorry if this sounds like rubbing it in).

Many thanks for any help you are able

Cheers

Hi Kid, still here, ready to clear some bonuses, would prefer to start small if poss and build bankroll (again if poss). Have read that Omaha might be the way to go as the percentage of pots that get raked is higher. Would you agree? Only prob is I haven't got a clue how to play it.

Cheers again

Omaha is a sweet way to clear bonuses if you can find enough tables to support your action.

Good luck man, I will leave the real advice to Kid.

if you know omaha at all, it is the best way to clear bonuses at lower limits. It is a more fun game to me also. I lover omaha hi.low. THe pots are much bigger since there is split pots. SO even at a level like .50/1, you will get at least .50 rake which at many poker rooms is enought to count as a raked hand.

I would suggest though for your first poker room to be paradise poker, absolute poker, or royal vegas poker.

Paradise poker, and royal vegas poker are very easy to clear because the rake only has to be .25 or higher to count as a raked hand. SO the pot has to be 5.00 or more. At a .5/1 limit table you will get this on 80% of hands. at 1/2 limit you will get this about 95% of the hands. So basically even low limit players can clear bonuses here fast.

Also, I would go through poker savvy on these, not only will you be able to whore the bonuse from the poker room, but you can get free money from savvy.

Paradise Poker| Get up to $100 in Free Gifts When you Join | PokerSavvy. CLick on this link and it will take you to the paradise poker page. ON this page it talks in depth about the poker room. Also, you will get enough points for 45.00 through savvy. Make sure when you sign up you pur that the Toeforum referred you and you get an extra 100 savvy points.

The bonus here is 25% to 50.00. And for every 100 hands you are dealt cards, and the rake is .25 or more, you get 10.00 of your bonus money transfered to your real money account. I know every time I have played there too I have deposited 400 to start and I got 100.00 bonus but I dont know if that still works or not. It used to always say 50 max but me and others have always got the 100.00. If you have any more questions or need any help ask. It is no problem.

Also if you want help with omaha, let me know. It is my favorite game.

Royal Vegas Poker | Get up to $100 in Free Gifts When you Join | PokerSavvy Here is the link to go to the royal vegas poker page. This bonus is 100% to 100. SO it is a better % bonus. It is different to clear now than it used to be. Here are the details. ALso, this bonus bascially comes to if you play at a lower level, it is 250 raked hands for every 10.00 in bonus money.

Players may not be awarded more than one Sign-Up Bonus and this Sign-Up Bonus is not available in conjunction with any other sign-up bonus/s offered by the Poker Room.
Please note that the Sign-up Bonus will be paid out in increments of $10 for every 250 Bonus Redemption Points (BRPs) earned to the maximum aggregate value of $100. You have 90 (ninety) days from the date on which you make your first purchase to earn the full $100 Sign-up Bonus. Should you not have completed the requirements to earn the full $100 Sign-up Bonus by the end of the 90 (ninety) day period, no further bonuses will be paid out.
BRPs are calculated with reference to the raked hands played at any bet limit as set out in the schedule below. (thus, for example, each raked hand played at a $1.00/$2.00 table is equivalent to 1 BRPs etcetera.

Table Limit
Bonus Redemption Points

$0.25/$0.50 - $1.50/$3.00 equals 1 BRP

$2/$4 - $3/$6 equals 2 BRP

$4/$8 and higher equals 3 BRP

Please Note: Hands raked on any $0.05/$0.10 and $0.10/$0.20 table and any play on Single or Multi Table tournaments will not count towards BRPs
In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Poker Room management will be considered full and final. No correspondence will be entered into in this regard.
Poker Room management reserves the right to end this Promotion at any time.

Absolute Poker | Get up to $100 in Free Gifts When you Join | PokerSavvy and here is absolute poker. This is the best room to play if you play 2/4 limit or higher or .5/1 NL or play 1/2 omaha hi.low. The rake has to .50 or higher here to count as a raked hand. So the pot has to be basically 10.00 or more. IF you can learn omaha hi.low, this is the place to play to get the 100% bonus to 750.00 And for 100 hands played you get 10.00 in bonus money. YOu also can get 600 poker savvy points by using their link on the page i sent you too. and if you sign up there and refer us, which i hope anyone does, then you get 100 points for free. All the other info is on that page. Ask if you have any questions.
