At Mansion, the generated rake is from money you personally contribute to the rake, so you do not generate rake just be being dealt a hand. This may be oversimplifying, but it is the easiest way I can think of explaining it...
If you are at a table with 2 other players, and the three of you play a pot to the river that is raked for $3, then you would have generated $1 in rake, as this is the portion you personally contributed to the rake. Make sense?

sure does. Just want to make that clear to our members. Most poker rooms say you have to play a certain number of raked hands and it is different. I figured it was this way. SO I wanted people to see that.
THanks.

im starting to think this is a scham, they say they have updates on wednesdays, its wednesday night now and i ahve played WELL over enough cash games to have generated 10$ in rake, i havebeen playing 1/2 NL, so i am pretty sure taht i have coverd the rake requirement.
You know, it would be nice if you helped us out or gave us information, i asked mansion about the bonus and they said they have nothing to do with it, and to ask you , but obviously allw e get is the run around, and the same story, not impressed, you guys are getting paid by us signingup through you, least you can do it give us some explanations.

i wouldn't consider it a scam.. at least.. not just yet.. but.. i know where you are coming from.. it's a little frustrating putting all the work into and not receiving the payoff. mike was online today.. last activity was around 9PM so.. im not sure what the reason was.. or why he didn't update us.. but i would just assume there was no good news yet.. and didnt want to start making people worry... who knows.. all i know is that doc has a lot of connections and the one person i would not want to screw around with would be doc.. so we'll just wait and see how this plays out.. but.. i'd be weary of using the 's' word just yet.
i have faith in doc and the rest of the edge staff.
edit: its kind of funny that after you posted that.. i went to check my account.. and their site is down. heh. i'm not implying anything.. i just find it rather funny.

Hi,
I myself am starting to worry a bit as well. I don't think PokerSavvy is a scam or anything, but regarding the Mansion bonus.. I feel like I've played more than enough for the $10 rake bonus but I haven't received my points yet either. I have about 110 MCP points atm so it seems a bit hard to believe that I still haven't met the requirements.

Oh and by the way, Mike, I've cleared the 250 points at Bodog as well. How long does it take for me to get my Savvypoints?
Thanks for your assistance.

It has been about a week. This process is long, but i think its worth it. I will tell u once i get the money into my netelller.

Hi all,
Sorry for our delay in posting here. We'll make an effort to check in here much more regularly. Things have been backed up this week as we catch up from the Thanksgiving holiday.
There are several issues that have been raised and I will address them all here.
1) Site downtime the other day: we had about a 6 hour site outage overnight PST on Tuesday night. Our hosting company experienced a denial of service attack against a firewall that our server is behind. That problem has been addressed and we should be back up and stable. Sorry for the inconvenience there. Trust me, being up from midnight to 6am yelling at a hosting company isn’t very fun, nor is being unable to access a site.
2) Is PokerSavvy a scam? The 11,000 users who've received over $250,000 in free cash and gifts would say no. Having said that, I understand that you need to see us deliver for you personally before you'll believe for yourself. A few important things to remember:
The reporting that we receive from poker rooms is not real time. You download a site using PokerSavvy's link and start playing at the poker room. Let's say you finish a bonus on Monday. It can take 3 days or more for poker rooms to report that data back to us. Sometimes it's because their affiliate reporting systems just aren't that good. In many cases it's because our system depends on a real live human being from the poker room to confirm each player individually. In either case, it's not real time. We do everything we can to make it as fast as possible but ultimately we rely on the poker rooms to deliver the data to us.
We try to be as specific as we can about when we receive updates (e.g. Mansion on M, W & F) but sometimes due to things we can’t control (e.g. Mansion has technical troubles) things get delayed.
3) Mansion sportsbook/exchange issue: As Mike said in a previous post, Mansion decided to disallow future players from earning SavvyPoints in the sportsbook/exchange because they were getting killed on that deal. In fact, PokerSavvy may well end up getting killed as well because it’s not clear we’re going to get paid for players who cleared the bonus via sports/exchange even though we have every intention of honoring the 900 SavvyPoints. My philosophy is that if you sign up under a certain deal then that deal should be honored. Period. The fact that Mansion didn’t fully think through the terms they established shouldn’t change that fact. Having said that, please understand that I am working through this issue with Mansion and it involves literally dozens and dozens of players so it is taking time. But if you signed up and wagered at Mansion before the terms of the deal changed then you’ll get your points. We hope and Mansion hopes that you’ll also check out their poker room or choose to keep some money there but that’s of course entirely up to you.
You’ll also notice if you check MyPokerSavvy that Mansion asked us to increase the poker rake requirement from $10 to $20 to boost player quality a bit. Again, if you signed up before December 1 you’ll be held to the $10 requirement. We won’t change it on you mid-deal, so don’t panic.
4) Individual user issues:
Hilbert: Your confirmation was delayed because there was some confusion about which Mansion nickname you should have entered in your MyPokerSavvy account. I can now see that your status shows as deposited and as soon as Mansion provides the next update my guess is that you will be confirmed.
Abuigi: I can see that your status is deposited at both Mansion and Bodog. So you should also have your points at the next update for both of these sites. I very much hope that will occur on Friday but for the reasons above I can't promise you that.
Nbfb42: I don’t know your PokerSavvy username. Can you let me know that so I can check your account status? I apologize that you feel you’re getting the “run around.” That’s certainly not our intention. I know it’s frustrating that the Mansion bonus is tied to the amount of rake you generate but that you can’t check your rake progress. Most players find that $10 in rake is so little that they clear it much faster than they’d think. In any event, let me know your Pokersavvy username and we’ll look into your account.
Mishink7: Glad everything came through. Enjoy the bankroll boost.
If anyone has questions feel free to post here or email support @ pokersavvy (dot) com. I hope this has been helpful but let me know if there’s more info Mike or I can provide. I have no doubt that PokerSavvy will earn your trust and business. You happened to join us at the confluence of a couple of events – Thanksgiving and this Mansion stuff – that have made things more difficult than normal.
Thanks,
Matt

Thanks Matt and Mike. I also did use the Mansion promo last week, and I understand you guys are backed up, just wanted to check and see if you guys have my info and whenever it gets approved, I'll get paid.
Thanks for being a part of The Edge and all the extra work you put into this place, to make you, and us a success.

Hey MikeOswald,
I checked your account and it is also showing as "deposited". Meaning that at our last Mansion report we could see that you had deposited but at that time hadn't cleared the requirement. So like the others you should have your points at our next update.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Matt
