Late Game Tournament Strategy
OK. So you've made the money, have a good chip count, and you are now trying to make it to the final table. How do you you shift your gameplay to do so?
I typically will only make a move on players with a significantly lower chip stack than myself, so Im not risking my tournament on a single hand. I find myself in situations frequently where I have something like JJ and I get a raise that will push me all in from a equal or bigger chip stack. Im always a bit conflicted as to what to do, when I usually put them on something like AK, AQ, etc... Should I risk my stack in this situation, if I know I have only a slight advantage going into it, or fold, living to see other hands while moving up through the money, possibly missing a huge opportunity?
