Introduction!

Hi Everyone,

I am writing this post to introduce myself. My name is Thomas, and I am the new owner of The Online Edge. I purchased the domain and forum from Jeff and his partner.

Before I made the decision to purchase the Edge, I spend a lot of time browsing through forum posts and getting a feel of the atmosphere, and I liked it. Therefore I hope that the current posters and moderators want to stay on board and help me keep the same atmosphere. You guys have done a really good job, and I hope you think it’s fun and still want to be a active part of the Edge.
I will do whatever I can to keep building this site better and better.

As to myself – maybe a small introduction is in order, so everyone knows who I am.
First of all - I absolutely love gambling and gambling communities!
When I was a student I spend a lot of hours “bonus hunting” to pay the bills. I wagered for millions of $ on blackjack, roulette and video poker to clear bonuses and make money.
When it became difficult to find good bonuses without large wagering requirements i switched to poker. I made a deposit of $400 and have never deposited with my own money again.

I spend 6 months studying the game playing 0,5/1- 1/2 fixed limit every day and eating poker theory for breakfast. Eventually I got better, and after 6 months I was crushing the 10/20-30/60 fixed limit games. My favourite was heads-up or shorthanded games.
I spend 6 months as online professional poker player before I decided that playing poker full time wasn’t for me, and moved on to a consulting job.

This is where I am now. I still place bets on sports, enjoy a trip to the local casino, and sometimes even spend an entire weekend indoors playing online poker/casino or blackjack.

I have previously owned several websites – most of them gambling related, and many of them focused on poker and poker tournaments. I hope my experience can help me negotiate great offers and promotions from pokerrooms and casinos for members of the Edge.

Oh yeah…I forgot one thing. I would also like to thank Jeff for his perfect service in the transfer of the domain and forum. He worked his ass of to get the forum up and running as soon as possible – thanks a lot Jeff. You seem like a really cool guy, and I am really glad you still want to be part of the Edge.

Welcome Thomas! I really feel strange saying that. It is usually the other way around where the owner says welcome to me but aw what the heck. Welcome Thomas!!! Hope this venture will work out well for you and all the edgers too. May I ask where you are from?

Hi Thomas! Welcome to the EDGE! You are very right in your remarks about Jeff and the previous owners, they are nothing but top notch individuals who have built a fun and very enjoyable place to come to. But you must already know that. You have made a smrt choice and I am glad you are here to keep this place going.

I have made many friends here, all of whom I have never me but have a connection with.
