Casino Betting System
December 21, 2008 · admin · Jump to comments
Casino betting systems have been around since the first casino was built. If there is a way for people to take advantage of a system and make money from it they will figure it out. With that being said many casino betting systems are well known by casinos and much less viable than they used to be.
Cheating at a card or table game is illegal and not considered a casino betting system. It is considered cheating and can land you in prison. True casino betting systems rely on an inherent weakness in the game that can be exploited either mathematically or mechanically.
The mathematical examples are easy. In the game of blackjack, for instance, card counters have had success in keeping a running tally of the cards that have been dealt. If a preponderance of low cards has been dealt before a shuffle then that means there are more face cards left in the deck. This is an advantage to the player and in this case they will bet more heavily.
The approved casinos have largely shut down this type of casino betting system by instituting irregular shuffling times to disrupt any patterns, adding more decks of cards to the game, and prohibiting players form joining a game in the middle of the shoe.
While counting cards in a casino is not illegal in most jurisdictions once the casino has identified you as a card counter they are under no obligation to allow you to continue playing there. In fact they can, and will, blackball you which means you will be considered a trespasser if you enter the casino again.
Another type of casino betting system is mechanical. This type of system is primarily used at the craps table. Basically the people who will use this type of system rely on their ability to hold, and throw, the dice in such a way that they land on a particular number each time. This can be accomplished, but takes years to perfect.
The shooter in a craps game controls the game. Craps is a complex game, but basically if the shooter can keep the dice from landing on seven for any length of time then their partner can place bets on each subsequent roll and literally rake in the cash. A talented craps mechanic can keep a game going for much longer than is statistically probable therefore increasing the odds that their partner will realize a big win.
The problem with this type of system is that casinos will realize what is going on immediately and will employ any and all methods to breaking the shooter’s concentration. These methods will range from the dealer continually speaking to the shooter as he prepares to roll all the way to having waitresses interrupt the shooter at every opportunity. These interruptions can wreak havoc with the shooters concentration which is necessary for this type of casino gambling system to work.
While it is possible to discover an inherent flaw in a game that will allow you to develop your own casino gambling system it is unlikely you will turn this system into actual dollars. Consider all of the people before you who were going to break Vegas and wound up broke. Play the games, enjoy yourself, but don’t sit around trying to devise ways to beat the house.
